Adil E. Shamoo

Dr. Adil E. Shamoo "is the founder and Editor-in-Chief (since 1988) of the journal, Accountability in Research and a member of several editorial boards among them the Drug Information Journal (2005-present). He was a member of the National Human Research Protections Advisory Committee (NHRPAC, 2000-2002)... He also chaired in 2003 a Special Issue GlaxoSmithKline Pharamaceuticals’ Ethics Advisory Group. Dr. Shamoo was appointed to Armed Forces Epidemiological Board (AFEB) of DOD as the ethics consultant (2003-2004). Dr. Shamoo has been teaching since 1991 a graduate course on: “Responsible Conduct of Research.” He chaired nine international conferences on ethics in research and human research protections and testified on this issue before Congressional Committees and the National Bioethics Advisory Commission. He chairs (2004-2006) the Ethics and Regulatory Forum of the Association of Clinical Reseach Professionals (ACRP). Dr. Shamoo served on numerous local and national boards and councils...
