She currently works for Dr. Cheung - OEM Advisor, LLC in Baltimore, Maryland.[1][2]

Richard has been a biotechnology communications coordinator for the Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST),[3] a non-profit agricultural front group stating on its website that its "primary work" is the "publication of task force reports, commentary papers and issue papers written by scientists from many disciplines" on "issues of animal sciences, food sciences and agricultural technology, plant and soil sciences, and plant protection sciences."[4] The press release announcing her hire, by CAST's Executive Vice President, Richard E. Stuckey, described her work in this way: "The addition of Cindy to our staff will better enable us to assist scientists in communicating with the public on this important issue." It added, "She will serve as the first contact for news media, and determine the most appropriate experts to respond to journalists' queries. CAST's mission is to identify food and fiber, environmental, and other agricultural issues and to interpret related scientific research information for legislators, regulators, and the media for use in public policy decision making."[3]

Richard previously worked as a senior scientist on a number of agriculture, biotechnology, and environmental exposure issues at Achieva, Inc., a PR firm, where she "invested much of the past several years working to assist scientists in enhancing their communications and serving as a resource for media covering technical issues."[3]
