Gerard Batten is an MEP for UKIP. He is one of the original founders of the UKIP in 1992 [1]


In response to the proposition "Government should tackle climate change aggressively even if it means energy bills go up." Batten strongly disagreed.[2] Batten is also on record saying "It is the accepted wisdom that this is all man-made, and Al Gore's film and all the rest of it, but that isn't true. "[3]

The UKIP is staunchly skeptical of climate change. At their Spring Conference in March 2010, the party leader said "we must question the whole theory of man-made climate change."[4] .
