John Prescott is a Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the British Labour Party. He has represented the constituency of Kingston upon Hull East since 1970. He is currently the Deputy Prime Minister. [1]

Prescott has been a strong supporter for the UK National Identity Cards Scheme as well as supporting the war in Iraq. Furthermore, Clarke has supported the idea of introducing Student Top-Up Fees. [2]

On 26 April, 2006, Prescott admitted to having had an affair with his diary secretary, Tracey Temple, between 2002 and 2004. [3]

On May 8,2006, it emerged that Prescott could be questioned by the police over his affair with his secretary. A retired Scottish police officer has asked Scotland Yard to examine whether Prescott is guilty of the offence of misconduct in a public office. [4]
