MGM Mirage, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, is one of the largest gambling companies in the world, having 26 partially or wholly owned properties, including Las Vegas' MGM Grand, Luxor, Bellagio, The Mirage, New York-New York, and the Monte Carlo. Other casinos are Mandalay Bay, Treasure Island, Excalibur, and Circus Circus Las Vegas. It owns the golf courses Shadow Creek, Fallen Oak, and Primm Valley Golf Club. It has casinos in about six Nevada cities as well as in Michigan and Mississippi. Competitors are Harrah's Entertainment, Las Vegas Sands, and Trump Resorts. Billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, founder and board member, owns about 56% of MGM Mirage. MGM Mirage is a subsidiary of Kirk Kerkorian's Tracinda Corporation. [1] [2] [3]
