Sheri Dunn Berry "is the Development Director for the Regional Congregations & Neighborhood Organizations (RCNO) Training Center, based in Los Angeles, California. RCNO is a national training and leadership development intermediary that builds the capacity of clergy and laypeople in small-to-mid-sized African American churches to become effective policy advocates and stronger community leaders.

"Before joining RCNO, Sheri provided independent consulting services to community-building organizations throughout the United States. Drawing from more than 17 years of experience in nonprofit and government organizations, she assisted community-based and nonprofit groups with project management, strategic planning, board development, program development, fundraising, organizational membership development, and event planning.

"For nearly seven years, Sheri was the executive director of the National Community Building Network, a national organization whose members worked to improve economic conditions and solve community problems in low-income neighborhoods across the country. Prior to heading the National Community Building Network, she spent several years working at the Urban Strategies Council, a policy advocacy and community-building organization in Oakland, California. She also served as a Senior Policy Associate at Children Now, a children’s policy and advocacy organization, and has held a number of other research and policy positions throughout California and Washington, DC.

"Sheri completed her undergraduate studies in public affairs at the University of California at Berkeley and holds a master's degree in public administration from the University of Southern California. She serves on several boards of directors and is active in a number of outreach ministries in her church. A proud Los Angeles native, she enjoys exploring the city with her wonderful 11- and 13-year-old daughters." [1]
